June 20st - June 26th

Saturday  June 26, 2004                          Haifa

Last night dinner was very nice!  Afterwards we watched the Israeli
American Idol, Kochav Nolad 2!  It's as silly as the American
version, but in Hebrew!  In between there was another Soccer
match! I spent the night up there and slept like a log (it's nice and
quiet on the Moshav where they live!)  Now I am about to leave and
drive like 2 hours south to Ashdod!

Friday  June 25, 2004                               Haifa

Dancing at the University is always an experience!  It was SOOOO
packed... you couldn't move...but the energy was amazing!  Gadi
had the Soccer game (Portugal vs. England) on and we were
watching it between dances (for anyone who cared that is!)  At the
end Portugal won and we could do couples dances (the boys were a
bit occupied before that!)! The session ended after 1am and then off
we went to eat something (are you sensing a pattern here?)!  Got
home at like 4 in the morning!
This morning there was the taping of the Histalmut that will take
place on the 9th of July.  Kobi Michaeli asked me to come to be his
partner for Nona Malki's dance, Yachad Shnayim.  There were about
35 dances taped (I got there a bit late...instead of 9 at 10:45) so I am
not sure what was before, but there were many dances presents
that were taught at the Memorial Day camps in the USA, including
Naftali Kadosh's new one, Hahatzaga Nigmeret...which is a HUGE
hit here!!! Also, Kobi has a new dance that was quite nice and
Carina's new dance Candella is making inroads! So we will see what
happens after the official Histalmut workshop!
I'm now in Haifa for Shabbat dinner with Pahzeet's family!
Shabbat Shalom to you all!!!!

Thursday  June 24, 2004                         Tel Aviv

So the Sheva Brachot dinner was nice....way too much food...again!
And after eating for three days straight we decided that dancing
was in order so off the Caravan went (Daniel and Nathalie, Howie
and Aliza, Mickey, Shoshana, Alex the Chauffeur and I) to dance in
Ha'Ogen with Shimon Shuker. Even with the late hour (after 11pm)
and the Soccer game on, the place was fairly crowded and he was
very welcoming!  We had lots of fun and danced till about 1am!!!
Today I just slept!!!  Something I usually forget to do here!  So now I
am nice and rested before I am off to dance at the University with
Gadi Bitton!

Wednesday  June 23, 2004                     Zichron Ya'akov

I have just three words for the wedding...A MA ZING!!! :o) The bride
was breathtaking, the groom handsome, the place beautiful, and lots
of fun was had by all!  Aside from the Amkrauts, the Hubers, Howie,
Aliza and her daughters, Pahzeet, Haim Kaufman, Moshiko Halevy
all made an appearance!  I posted some pictures for you to see!
I spent the night at Yaron Carmel's house (the wedding was 10
minutes away!) in Zichron Ya'akov!  It's so nice and quiet there and
we had a great time just hanging out, went to lunch in Cesarea and
now I am off to Natanya for more wedding stuff (Sheva Brachot!)

Tuesday  June 22, 2004                           Ra'anana

I have like 5 minutes to write something because I am running off to
the Nathalie and Daniel's wedding! Just had my hair done and still
have to put on make-up and the dress.  Can't wait to see everyone at
the wedding!
Last night Pahzeet (from NY) and I drove  to (and got lost in)
Natanya to celebrate Nathalie's last night as a single girl!  The
Mikveh was quite the experience with 2 other wedding parties
joining in the celebrations.  When Nathalie finished with her dunking,
we danced and ate and then moved on to her Grandmother's house
for more of the same!  The Amkraut women (Fran, Davida and Helen)
joined us there and it was lots of fun!  Went out for some coffee
afterwards...

Monday  June 21, 2004                            Tel Aviv

So I went dancing yesterday night at Beit Dani and lo and behold it
was a special night ... Yoav Itzchak (of too many dances to list fame)
was performing that night!  The place was packed when I got there
at 10pm (I heard later that there were over 1000 people there)!  It
was an amazing show and as always, Dudu and Mishael were not
only great Markidim but just super nice!  Unfortunately (I'm blaming
jet-lag on this) I forgot my camera!  After the performance, we
danced till after 1 in the morning!  What a great first night in Israel!
I have rented an apartment in Tel Aviv for the month!  It's
amazing...1 minute from the beach (I can see the water from my
windows!)  Today I mostly just walked around my neighborhood and
the beach and am off too Nathalie Abrahami (soon to be Amkraut's)
Mikveh visit in Natanya!

Sunday  June 20, 2004                             Tel Aviv

Arrived today after a couple of hectic days of work in Germany!
Planning on going dancing at Beit Dani with the Bazilay Boys
(Mishael and Dudu)!
