January Trip

Wednesday  January 26, 2005                             Hod Ha'Sharon

Midnight here...and no dancing again...I know you are all
disappointed, but really...next week I promise more!  LOL
Spend the day with Dudu Barzilai, his wife Odelia and their
daughter Ma'ayan (and yes I have new pictures of her!!!!)  It was
nice just hanging out at their new apartment and going for the best
Israeli food (Avazi's in Shrunat Ha'Tikva!)
Tomorrow I am off to the North again to dance in Misgav with Yaron
Carmel!  He is having a performance by hot new singer named
Harel Sca'at (very sexy!)  There is a new dance by ??? called Hineni
Kan that Harel sings and is becoming quite popular around
different sessions.  I have only seen it, not danced it...but the song
is stuck in my head!!!! (AAGH!)
Eyal Golan also has a new song out that is sure to become a huge
hit and yes it's already registered!!!

Tuesday  January 25, 2005                             Hod Ha'Sharon

It's 2am and I just returned home from Ashdod!  Spend the evening
with Avi Levy and his wife Leital!   I had the pleasure of visiting his
performing group, Avivim, at rehearsals and let me tell you that
having 30 kids jump on you to say Hello can be quite overwhelming!
They are wonderful and after spending much time with them in
Brazil and at Machol Miami I can say that not only are they amazing
dancers but the sweetest kids (ok teenagers...and that is even a
harder age!) Avi is working on a new dance for the group and the
pieces I have seen are just AMAZING!!!
So that is it for today...still have had no time to edit the
pictures...maybe tomorrow!

Monday  January 24, 2005                             Hod Ha'Sharon  

Ok, so I am back in Israel and have decided to continue my travel
saga...it seems people were quite amused in the summer!!!:o)

So a quick catch up so far...I arrived in Israel on Thursday the 20th
in the afternoon (the new airport is BEAUTIFUL....long walk, but
beautiful...no more buses!!!)  After picking up my car and driving
(and getting stuck in traffic), I arrived in Zichron Ya'akov in time to
drive to with Yaron Carmel to Misgav in the north to go dancing!!!  I
don't know about you, but for me there is not much better after a
long flight then going dancing!  So I danced and saw some friends!  
Israel Shabtai and Oren Shmuel came to the session!  Then Yaron
and I headed home (I slept at his house!!!)  
In the morning (ok I got up at 3pm) I kinda just hung out...Yaron went
to Eilat to help at a Marathon there....and had dinner with friends in
the area!  Then at 11pm I headed to Hod Ha'Sharon to surprise my
friend Zivit for her birthday!  It was great...she had NO IDEA!!!!  The
look on her face was priceless!!! :-)  I spent Saturday with her and
her husband baby!!!
Sunday I just kind of played catch up with some friends per
telephone and met a friend for coffee before heading up to Gan
Shmuel to Yaron Carmel's session...Yoav Itzchak was performing!!  
Now if you remember, in the summer I also had the pleasure of
seeing him perform at Beit Dani!  He is amazing...I will get pictures
up tomorrow and maybe a video!  It's amazing how many songs of
his we dance too!  The energy of the crowd was amazing and even
though there was a horrible rain storm outside there were around
700 people crammed into the kibbutz's dinning room!  We danced
till almost 2 in the morning!!!  Afterwards a couple of us went out to
grab a bit to eat and I finally got to sleep at 5am!
Needless to say, I slept in this morning (again at Yaron's...no drivng
back to Tel Aviv for me!) and he and I hung out all day just catching
up!  Had a great dinner in Ein Hod (an artist colony in the north)
before he headed to work and I headed back to Hod Ha'Sharon!
So that's enough for now...will write more tomorrow...have a
fabulous day!!!   :-)
